S'Antiga, in Menorcan, means "the old one". This is the name given in Es Mercadal to our hotel which was once the first school for girls in the village, the old school. It was also the home of Pepe de cas Sucrer, a much-loved person in Es Mercadal, about whom you will find more than one reference as you stroll along the streets. At present, the story of S'Antiga carries on in the shape of a hotel with 10 rooms, a courtyard, a swimming pool and service area.

Should you arrive before 2pm, we will check you in, show you around the hotel and, if your room is not ready, we will store your luggage until it is.

S’Antiga is an exceptional boutique hotel that was a haven of peace and tranquility. The entire team there was very friendly and made us feel at home. The rooms and interior are very tasteful and gave us a true Mediterranean feel. The breakfast was amazing, with a wide choice of locally sourced ingredients. Would highly recommend to stay here!

Excellent breakfast. Beautiful-looking hotel, nice lighting concept. Nice and comfortable common areas. Cold water (even sparkling) fountain and tea available at all times for free.
